Welcome

This property was originally built in the late 1800s as a boarding house for tourists coming to Tilghman Island by ferry for hunting and fishing and to flee the oppressive summer heat of Washington and Baltimore. It overlooks Dogwood Harbor, the last remaining port of the Chesapeake Bay skipjack sailing vessel and home port to the fiercely independent Chesapeake watermen. Tilghman Island is twelve miles southeast of St. Michaels in the heart of Chesapeake Bay on Maryland’s eastern shore.

We welcome you to make this your base for exploring the rich heritage and scenic beauty of one of America’s most outstanding environmental treasures. It is also a fine choice for quiet relaxation and reunions of up to twelve adults. Your well-behaved children and pets are also welcome. Each of its six bedrooms has its own private bathroom. There is no smoking indoors. We can provide excellent local catering on site.
